6+ Years in the Making
RunAwayRice YouTube channel and blog has been my passion for more than 6 years. I started my YouTube channel in 2012 as a way to share some basic Vietnamese recipes with my family and friends. Of course, my earlier videos weren’t filmed or edited very well LOL! But through trial and error and, of course, watching other YouTubers, I’ve learned so much. I have always loved cooking and sharing recipes but making videos was a new and challenging endeavor. I discovered a new passion for filming and editing videos. Creating cooking videos is like teaching and I love being able to break down a recipe and explain how to make it. My goal is to have everyone be success when recreating one of my recipes.
I am so thrilled for what’s to come in the future. I love getting emails from new viewers and readers who just discovered the RunAwayRice blog and YouTube channel and excited to try my recipes. Many express wanting to learn traditional dishes like Egg Rolls (Cha Gio), Beef Pho, Steamed Honeycomb Cakes (Banh Bo Hap) and the festive Lunar New Year foods.
