A Year in Review
In retrospect, 2018 was an amazing year for recipe sharing and food blogging. Social media makes sharing so easy, interactive and so much fun!
In 2018, the RunAwayRice blog shared 53 new posts from recipes and product reviews to cooking tips and travel logs. I get this question a lot and it always makes me smile “How many people work at RunAwayRice?” The answer is: me, myself and I 🙂 RunAwayRice has been my passion project since its inception in 2012. I create all the content, including recipe development, filming and editing videos, photography and blogging. Honestly, it takes a lot of work and dedication to maintain a cooking blog. Some days it’s difficult to keep up, but I try my best and I really have fun with it! Thank you dear readers for your continuous support, kind and encouraging words. I truly appreciate the love you’ve shown me over the years and feel so blessed to have this space to connect with you!
RunAwayRice on YouTube has almost 100,000 subscribers. Wow! I am thrilled and delighted so many viewers are tuning in to see my videos. For those fearing commitment (I am not judging 🙂 ) and haven’t subscribed yet to my channel, I hope you’ll click on the “Subscribe” button. After subscribing, be sure to click the bell icon and you’ll get immediate notification when I release a new video. Now there’s no chance of missing out!
Toward the end of 2018, RunAwayRice joined the Facebook Creator’s Program and is now sharing videos on Facebook. I am striving to get more videos on Facebook and really appreciate all the likes, shares and new followers.
Also in 2018, I worked extensively with Yummly to publish all recipes. If you’re not using Yummly as your digital recipe box, please be sure to check it out for 2019. You can quickly access your favorite RunAwayRice recipes, create a shopping list and schedule one-hour grocery delivery. How cool is that?!

If you read my post Instant Pot – Hype or Here to Stay?, you’ll know the answer is “Here to Stay!” The Instant Pot is the newest kitchen darling and everyone’s go-to appliance. I’ve been cooking with the Instant Pot since 2014 and delighted it’s become such a popular cooking tool.
I’ve received so many requests from you to share more Instant Pot recipes and starting in 2019, I will do just that! On the main page, you’ll see a new menu item called “Everything Instant Pot”. Without much ado, to show our appreciation, we’ve been sharing your website with friends and soon to be friends.
