- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2009Size: 14 INColor: GraphiteVerified PurchaseWhen I ordered this, I actually made a mistake. I wanted a 12-inch skillet. So when the product was delivered, I was overwhelmed by the size, as it was much bigger than I was expecting. I'm not a very good cook, so I thought I would never use this professional size pan. But I decided to keep it anyway as the price was good. Let me tell you, I'm so GLAD I did not return it. Recently I made quick pasta sauce with shrimps and pesto in this skillet, and oh my goodness, I was amazed at this pan! The 14-inch skillet not only cooked the sauce well but also it was big enough to mix the whole cooked 1-pound pasta in it easily! I also made a chicken dish, and this big skillet was big enough to saute several large cut chicken breasts all at once. The quality is excellent - heavy and heated evenly. I am extremely happy with this product. Now I'm motivated to cook more than before. One of the best buy I made recently. Highly recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2010Size: 14 INColor: GraphiteVerified PurchaseWe received our skillet a couple of weeks ago, and we are thrilled with it! We've used it several times already, and like the way it fits perfectly on the large burners on the stove. The skillet heats evenly, and quickly, and the high sides avoid alot of food mishaps, like oil sloshing over the sides, and food falling out when you stir it. The rubber coated handles are a lifesaver as well, since you don't have to scramble for potholders when you have to move it from one location to another. The small handle on the opposite side of the pan makes lifting a breeze. The nonstick coating allows for quick and easy cleanup as well.
Just make sure you have a spot large enough to stow this skillet in. It is BIG!
UPDATE... 5 Months, We have used this skillet for just about everything and I highly recommend this Anolon Advanced Nonstick Hard-Anodized Aluminum Cookware to everyone looking for great, heavy duty, long lasting cookware for the following reasons...
I wanting a big skillet, I use it 2-3 times a week for just about everything you can think of cooking and even on my grill. Now I did things to this skillet for a reason before I was going to buy a new set, things you would never do too nonstick cookware. I have Deep-fried, Seared, and once burned this skillet to the point "I thought" I had destroyed it. Once I even dropped it when it was very hot "in cold water" putting it down on the edge of the sink to cool. I have owned dozens of nonstick cookware over 30 years of cooking. I always went with less costly pots and pans sets but found that the nonstick coating did not holdup at all on the skillets. I tried just about every brand of nonstick skillets made over 30 years. I also use, good old cast-iron which takes high heat very well but as anyone knows, is very heavy. Why am I saying all of this... Simple!
Anolon Hard-Anodized Aluminum Cookware is "Heavy Duty" but lightweight; The Advanced Nonstick Coating on my French Skillet has ~very slightly~ turned brown in the middle most likely from when I burned it. If this had been another brand, I would have thrown the skillet away because, once you burn the nonstick coating, it peels and scraps right off! My Anolon Advanced Skillet is heavy duty, has taken high heat, like cast-iron but weighs a quarter of what my 14-in cast-iron pan does.
However, what I have done is find that this cookware can standup to abuse like no other cookware I have ever used. This is what sold me on the advanced nonstick coating. I know with the right care, and uses, the Pots, Pans, and Skillets will last for years! This is why I purchased a whole set of Anolon Advanced Nonstick Hard-Anodized Aluminum 12-Piece Cookware Set. "Are they worth the higher cost?" After what I did to this skillet the past 4 months "I'm Sold" they are the best cookware for the price! ~will be updating this again~

I always begin checking reviews with "1" one. I want to know why I shouldn't buy a product. After receiving this pan, I believe the "1" reviewers of this product never read the instructions. The pan performs as advertised. Far better then I expected. It replaces a 60 year old wedding present that finally gave up the ghost with a broken handle. I loved that pan and mourned its loss. This pan is larger, actually is "non-stick", has a great design, and darn near cleans itself. I highly recommend it if you love to cook and appreciate the best tools.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2013Size: 14 INColor: GraphiteVerified PurchaseI've had a series of inexpensive frying pans over the years, all of which last a year or so before the non-stick finish was worn out. This time I decided this time to spend a little more and get a better quality one. I've used this Anolon pan half a dozen times now, and like it - but I don't love it. The main handle is comfortable and the second handle is very handy for moving a heavy skillet-load of food. Both handles stay cool to the touch, eliminating the need for pot holders. The nonstick finish (inside and out) is very nice and cleans up like a dream. It heats up nicely, and browns food well.
What I don't like about it is the sloped sides. The outer rim is 14" but the inner base is only 10". I read some of the other reviews, which explained that this is a desirable trait, but I don't like that the base is so much smaller than the outer rim. When I'm cooking something like hamburgers or pork chops, I find the base to be too small. I also can't find a lid to fit the pan, which allows food and grease to spatter my stove top.
Overall this is a great quality pan and one I'll enjoy using. But when it's time to replace it, I'll make sure to find one that has a bigger base.
Edited January 2014: We've had this pan for six months and used it probably 3 times a week, mainly to fry eggs. I was always gentle with it, used a nylon spatula and washed it with a non-abrasive sponge. After 5 months, eggs started sticking badly. Even with cooking spray they stuck to the pan and made a mess. I recently replaced it with a $20 pan from Walmart. I won't spend extra on a "nicer" pan ever again, because the non-stick finish doesn't last even as long as that on a "cheap" pan.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2018Size: 14 INColor: GraphiteVerified PurchaseThis is a good pan. I was looking for a pan to replace my 12" Anolon with a helper handle. I prefer the 12" to the 14", but that's just me. This pan has curved sides, and works well for large meals with gravy or sauces as there is ample room to stir without losing things over the side of the pan. The helper handle is awesome as the pan is very heavy. I would buy again, but wished it came in a 12" size.

2.0 out of 5 stars Warped within a month
Size: 14 INColor: GraphiteVerified PurchaseI have purchased a number of the Anolon pans, and are usually great. Cooks well and is non-stick as advertised. Unfortunately within 3 or 4 uses it developed a warp to it. A year later it is gone so bad that it is almost a full inch off from center to edge. Couple more uses and it should make for a great Wok, but not the frying pan I was hoping for. Would recommend looking elsewhere for the 14" pan.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a flat cooking surface
Size: 14 INColor: GraphiteVerified PurchaseBeautiful finish but got delivered with a bend in it. Wobbly when cooking, very annoying. For the price I was expecting a lot more

Size: 14 INColor: GraphiteVerified PurchaseThe pan warped after about 4 or 5 uses. The nonstick has been good.
